The Operational Safety Ordinance (BetrSichV) requires a recurring review of the machine or system as part of a risk assessment. A one-time review after initial commissioning is not sufficient; it must cover the entire duration of its availability. The safety and health protection requirements for machines and systems are fundamentally based on the state of the art for new machines.

We support operators in risk assessments as well as in the evaluation and classification of their projects or modifications. Together with you, we assess whether it constitutes a significant change and assist you in all subsequent steps of the conformity assessment procedure.

Official Journal of the EU: C2752, Point 2.1. A product that has undergone significant modifications or revisions to change its original performance, use, or design can be considered a new product. The person making the changes then becomes the manufacturer with the corresponding obligations.
